BookTube-A-Thon Wrap Up (That's extremely late.)

Sooooooo. I know. You're ready to strangle me and ask why in the world I'm even bothering posting this blog at this point. BECAUSE I felt like it needed closure. Even if I am SEVERAL days late. Don't mind me; I'm an idiot.

Anywho, I was going strong for the first few days. But the last few, I ended up working a ton and having other business I needed to attend. However, I am still very proud of myself. I didn't read the amount I wanted to, but I gave it a good effort seeing that I work 35+ hours a week. I don't know about you, but I'm not complaining. I ended up reading 4 books total equaling 1, 537 pages. TECHINICALLY, that was about 200 pages a day.

I also want to applaud all of the people out there who did a fantastic job and read 7+ books that week. I'm very impressed. :) Congratulations! I can't wait to participate again. If they do decide to do it bi-annually, I'll only be able to participate in my hemisphere's summer.

I haven't decided if I want to post a YouTube video about this wrap-up since I've taken so long to finally write it. I may just non-chalantly mention it. You feeling me?

It was a great ride and thanks to everyone who encouraged, helped, and put up with my loner-ness through it all. I appreciate you all greatly. A big shout out goes to Becca for working endless hours with me on my blog and putting up with me pulling her out of bed to go to the library. You're the man, Beks. ALSO, a big thanks to Nick. Thanks for bringing me food and drinks when I too dazed in a reading zone to get my lazy butt up. *HUGSANDKISSES* Also, thanks for just laying with me while I read. You're my sweetheart. I love you.

And A BIG THANKS to my subscribers. Your comments made me smile and encouraged me. Everyone who knows me knows that I love comments the most. They're my favorite. <3 So keep them coming!

Happy reading until next time,

VF, xoxo

BookTube-A-Thon (Update 4)

Top of the morning night to ya's! Can you believe we've already made it to day 4 of 7 of this year's annual BookTube-A-Thon? Neither. Can. I. Where has the time gone? I didn't get to read as much today either, but I read more than yesterday. And, that's always a plus! Tomorrow will be a better day of reading for me because I should get home (a little) sooner.

Now to bring you my reading updates. I finished Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick. All. The. Feels. Mostly because it's over. There's no putting off the last book any more. The mystery of Patch is gone. (I realize he's not gone, because I can always reread the books but YOU CATCH MY DRIFT.) I understand that there are mixed feelings on these books. I love them though. So. Much. I have since 2009 when Hush, Hush was first published. I also heard there's going to be a movie. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm one part excited. Another part terrified. So help me if they try to make this another Twilight, I'm going to gouge someone's eyes out. Leave it as it is, ya hear?

I also managed to make it all the way to the final disk of my audio book. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. I'll have to go back to the library ASAP and check out another audio book to keep me company in my car. Not to mention, the audio book is at such a climatic part. I could barely step out of my car. The need to know what happens is relentless!

I'm going to try to read a little bit in Death Watch by Ari Berk tonight and get this ship rolling! So far, I've managed two rereads and finished a series.  Death Watch  is not only over 500 pages but it's been sitting on my shelf for AGES. Time to get it read!

Here's my YouTube vlogy-magigger on this matter at hand:

Happy Reading, love birds!

BookTube-A-Thon (Update 3)

Hello, my dear ones! I'm bring yet another short and choppy update for this year's annual BookTube-A-Thon! I went in to work at 9 this morning and didn't get home until around 7 this evening. :( So that didn't leave much time for me to read. Not to mention, I have to work every day this week until Sunday. Yes. Sunday. But all is well. I'm not going to let it get me down! I read to page 205 as of 10:30 p.m. and hopefully I can finish this blog/vlog so I can get in a bit more before 12. I did notice through my Goodreads updates that I read 45 pages in 23 minutes. Personal record? I believe so.

Now on to talk about Finale. First things first, I don't trust Dante. Something's... off.. I can sense it. Second, I'm actually sad to be reading through this so quickly. I don't want it to end... :( I already miss Patch and I'm not even done with their story yet. To be frankly honest with you, he's one of my all time favorite male characters. Not to mention, the way I've fantasized how he lucks? It would give any man a run for their money. WWWWOOOOOOO. Don't even get me started. Did I mention I'm already breaking out in a sweat. Nevermind that. And NORA. Mmm, mmm, mmm. *shakesfinger* This is a side of Nora I've never seen before. Do I like it? Kind of not. Is it great for the story? Hell yes. But it's bound to get her knee deep shoulder deep in trouble. Is it wrong that I'm excited? I want her to save herself, but at this point I don't know how she'll make a comeback without Patch.

By the by, I hate this cover. Not because it isn't beautiful, because it is, but because how I picture Patch is nothing like this guy. Nope. Patch is hotter. Much. I'm I the only one who's noticed how this blog has revolved around him. Geez. I need rehab. But not yet. I'm not done yet. ;)

Here's my YouTube vlog on this matter:

Happy Reading, dolls!

BookTube-A-Thon (Update 2)

Hello, my dear ones! I'm bringing you my update for Day 2 of the ol' BookTube-A-Thon! I managed to finished Crescendo earlier this morning. And when I woke up, I took on Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick! I managed to finish it today (miraculously). This bring my page count total for today to a whopping 555 pages!! The past two days, I've read 865 pages total, not including the audio book (since I'm completely unsure of what page I'm on in that book.) Luckily I didn't have to work today and I was able to laze around and read. I have to work late the next two days, so I was hoping to get ahead enough just incase I can't read 300 pages each day those two days. I think I'm in the green so far. But guys, as of this moment, I have to WORK Saturday. Of all the Saturdays, right? Oh well. I'll find a way to power through it. I'll keep you all updated. As for now, I have to get ready for bed. Work awaits me in the morning. If you're doing the challenge, good luck with your reading expeditions!

Here's my BookTube vlog on this Update:

Happy reading, folks.

BookTube-A-Thon (Update 1)

I thought I would give a quick update on my BookTube-A-Thon status. I'm currently on page 311 of Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. As I said in my Youtube video, I had to bring this over from the weekend. I didn't have the time I thought I would to start it.I'll probably just drop Easy by Tammara Webber if I see I don't have enough time for it. Lucky me, I planned for too many pages.
Better than not having enough, right? ;)

But Cresendo has been SO GOOD. Much better than I remember.
Marcie is as vicious as ever.
Patch is a whole big bowl of eye candy.
Nora is a goodie-goodie as always.
But Vee is much more fun than I remember her in this book. I feel bad for putting her down before. It's funny how rereading a book can change your perspective on it.

I think the thing that's pushing me through the story so quickly is that I want Patch and Nora (SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER)
to get back together. Damn them and their pride. I still remember how everything goes down, but it's still fun to read about.

I'm also on Disk 3 of The Price of Mist by Carlos Ruiz Zafon It is FLYING by. I'm loving every second of it. Lucky for me, my drive to work takes a while, so I have extra time to listen to the story. :)

To be honest, when I first started the audio book, I wasn't sure if I would like the story. As I've said before, this audio was a last ditch effort since every other audio book they had in the Young Adult section, I've already previously read.

The more I listen to more intrigued I get, and I was disappointed to get out of my car this evening! I'm dying to know what discoveries they'll make and what will happen to Irina.

But moving on, I just filmed my blog for YouTube.
Here's the video for you, darlings:

I'm going to go read more since I don't have to work tomorrow!
*happydancesallaroundmyroomlikeamaniac*
I'll bring you more updates tomorrow.

Happy Reading, my dears!

Pre BookTube-A-Thon! (Blog)

Hey guys, this will be the first of several blogs in the week coming up. You know, if this goes well, sometimes I may just do strictly blogs. It's just a thought.

So I'm sitting here listening to Iggy Pop and Ke$ha,
(DONT JUDGE ME! HER MUSIC HAS A BEAT THAT GETS ME ROLLING. hmph.) and I'm feeling the pressure begin.  I've done a hell of a lot of preparation blog-wise and YouTube-wise for the BookTube-A-Thon.  You DO NOT even understand how long Becca and I worked on everything yesterday. 9 HOURS. It was a work day. Well spent of course, but by the end of it, I hadn't even started Cresendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. I was way too exhausted. And today, I've barely read a few pages. I'll try to read as much of it as I can.

ALSO: I'm going to make a separate tap on my Blog for the BookTube-A-Thon and link my blogs/vlogs there so you don't have to go in search of whatever it is that you want to see! This will be the first of many.
_____________________________________________________

SO, Becca helped me create a new header-thing for BookTube and I used the same header for Blogger. Let me know what you think! I also decided, since this week is going to be hectic, I should celebrate by decorating my blog different.
I gave it a bit of color (if you can refer to brown as a color...
SHH. We'll go with it.)

I've also noticed I need to do more reviews on Youtube itself. I've done quite a few for the blog, but I haven't quite brought them over to the BookTube world. Maybe BookTube-A-Thon will help me with this. I mean I created my channel for reviews and there are barely ANY.

I've also planned out a HUGE Haul after the readathon. I didn't do a haul for May or June. I don't think I even did one for April. So. That's THREE MONTHS. Geez. Be. Prepared.

There's still not sign of Rosie. I'll keep you all updated. If you've watched my In the Shadow of Blackbirds Haul, you would know that she's been missing for quite a while. June 27th to be exact. I'm so afraid something has happened to her, and it's completely unlike her to leave, especially leave her kittens. To say I'm worried is an understatement.
_____________________________________________________

BUT her kittens are growing so big! I'm not sure if you all have been properly introduced. So without further ado, I give you the kittens:

Monkey:

Whiskey:

Cleo:

They're my beautiful babies, and my gifts from Rosie. So, god forbid, if anything has happened to my Rosie baby, at least I have three beautiful parts of her. <3

So, gorgeous people, when we meet again, I'll be pulling my hair out trying to finish all of these books!

Happy reading, angels!
